Review: Ritual Theory, Ritual Practice

Ritual Theory, Ritual PracticeRitual Theory, Ritual Practice by Catherine Bell
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book was hard going in parts, dealing with a number of fundamental theoretical concepts around ritual, and there were a number of times I almost abandoned it. I’m glad I didn’t.

Bell’s clear expertise in the area of ritual theory is apparent in this and her other books, and for those who are prepared to persevere with reading there is many treasures to be mined.

Recommended – but only to the stout of heart.
