So the percentage of companies that pay no corporate income tax is still 36%…

…but, sure, let’s cut the corporate tax rate so they can pay nothing of a smaller percentage!

Australian tax office says 36% of big firms and multinationals paid no tax

The tax office has revealed 36% of the largest public companies and multinational entities in Australia paid no tax in the most recent financial year on record. It means there has been no significant shift in the proportion of companies paying no corporate income tax in Australia.
