In the last act of this pilgrimage, we were up early to head to St Peter's Cathedral for the celebration of Mass.
This buidling is 160 years old (because the 'other' cathedral was taken over by the Church of Ireland - according to Fr Brian who met us this morning), and underwent some significant renovations about 20 years ago which brought out the colours that are visible in the photo. Again, it is a beautiful church in which to celebrate the liturgy of the Church, and a fitting place to end our time of pilgrimage together.
Tomorrow, we head back to Dublin to board various aircraft to various locations - including Australia - when the real work of the pilgrimage begins.

Thank you so much, Fr Andrew, for sharing this amazing journey. Your excellent photography and informative and entertaining narrative allowed me to travel vicariously, and to revisit some places I was fortunate enough to see on my recent British Isles/UK tour. You certainly have a good eye for photography and you have captured so many other interesting aspects of such beautiful countryside, as well as the detailed architecture. Safe travels home.
